What we provide
Our Products

We’re with your waste every step of the way – starting with the moment it’s created

Our range of purpose-designed hazardous waste receptacles and storage solutions meet all applicable SANS standards (South African National Standards). When it comes to medical waste, you can’t afford to take any chances – and we don’t. Each of our containers meets a specific bio-hazard waste collection specification, and we supply them in a range of sizes so that you can choose the ones which best meet your requirements.

We also supply waste management accessory products, including bio-hazard tape, liners, cable ties etc. We use quality, durable plastics for your safety, and where possible (as with our corrugated boxes). Last but by no means least, we guarantee that all our handlers and drivers are fully qualified and professionally equipped.

Sharps Containers

Our sharps containers ensure the safe storage of all sharps (such as scalpels and syringes) from immediately after use until we collect them for appropriate disposal.

Brightly coloured for immediate identification, our sharps bins are tamper-proof and made of durable plastic to minimise the risk of needlestick injuries. Trusted by hospitals and clinics, our sharps containers are available in sizes ranging from 1.4 l to 25 l.

Pathalogical Waste (Speci-Bin) Containers.

In view of its sensitivity, pathalogical waste (anatomical), should be treated with both respect and caution due to its rapid decompostion nature.

The first step in its appropriate disposal is to place it in one of our speci-bins (anatomical). Our range of custom-designed (triple-lock) anatomical waste bins is custom-designed for this important purpose, and minimises any risk of contamination or infection. Sizes available: 2.5 l to 20 l.

Our Low impact waste bins are designed to handle larger volumes of low-grade medical waste, which, while it does not represent any significant risk to patients or medical staff, still needs to be disposed of in compliance with all applicable legislation. We produce LIMB waste bins in the following sizes: 100 l, 150 l, and 200 l.

Pharmaceutical Containers

Our 10 l and 20 l pharmaceutical containers are the perfect solution to your pharma waste storage issues, including expired medications and partial doses remaining after a course of treatment has been successfully concluded.

Pills, injectable ampoules, liquids and antibiotics can all be securely placed in these containers, ensuring that they cannot be deliberately misused or accidentally ingested by children. Controlling pharma waste is as important as controlling dosage.

Bio Hazardous Tape and Cable Ties

Our bio-hazard tape serves as both a visual reminder of danger and a means of securely sealing the apertures in our biohazardous waste containers.

Our strong, eye-catching tape immediately alerts people, and can also be used to demarcate areas where such waste is present. Our cable ties are designed for rapid deployment, and to stay in place – they require considerable effort to cut thanks to our use of tough plastic.

Corrugated Boxes

Our durable corrugated boxes provide the ideal means to store and transport your general healthcare risk waste.

They are clearly printed with appropriate hazard-alert symbols to make people aware of their contents, and, in line with our environmental principles, can easily be stacked. We recommend that our corrugated boxes – which are available in popular sizes (25 l, 50 l and 142 l) – are used in conjunction with our range of liners.

Wheelie Bins

Wheelie bins are such a common sight that people forget just how useful – and important – they are. A lightweight, portable solution to general and recyclable waste storage and containment for commercial, municipal and residential applications, they are ideal for situations where space is limited, and frequent waste collection services exist.

Tshenolo Waste wheelie bins are all SANS-approved and suitable for a range of uses. They are efficient in terms of space usage, easily manoeuvred and moved, and available in a range of styles and sizes to fit your precise needs. They’re ‘wheelie’ good!

Liners

Our leak-free liners are ideal for use with our range of containers, enabling them to be used as a combination in the storage for some grades of bio-hazardous and medical waste.

Our liners are sized to match our containers exactly, and each size is available in both clear and red biohazard styles. For added protection, our red liners are produced in resilient 60-100micron plastic.

Human Resources (Compliance)

Our people are not a product – they’re a vital part of everything that we do. That’s why we make sure we equip them with only the best protective wear and equipment, so that they can carry out their tasks in complete safety.

Additionally, we provide comprehensive training to allow them to achieve all the relevant certification and 100% compliance with all relevant legislation. You can trust our people – we certainly do.

Professional Drivers

Every Tshenolo Waste vehicle is not just equipped and designed to fulfill its purpose, but it is also driven by a professional driver with a PRDP (DG) licence and all the necessary certification for the safe and secure collection and transportation of hazardous materials.

The Tshenolo Waste logo on each vehicle – and on each driver’s uniform – is your guarantee of complete dedication to the task in hand.
